My love of face sheet masks started 10 years ago when I first moved to South Korea. It was also my first introduction to the wonders of K-Beauty! From toners, serums, foil masks and more - it was like a infinite universe of awesome innovative products to experience. Fast forward now to 2021 where my love and knowledge of K-Beauty is at level Daebak - I bring you my top 6 reasons why I love face sheet masks.

Hello everyone!

Can you believe that 2020 is almost over? It somehow went past quickly but also quite slowly - an alternate reality of sorts. But here we are, ready to cautiously greet 2021 - in comfy but cute attire.

Like my SuperM poster? :D I decided to keep it there with my tree.

This year has really be about comfort. With so many working from home - more cozy styles became popular and even pants took a dive in sale due to Zoom calls only showing our top part!

So for my few holiday looks I wanted to still do some glam mixed with stylish comfort.
For my first look I choose one of my favorite knit cardigans. The small shimmer circle details add a touch of glam that's perfect for a festive look.

One of the best activities during the holidays is to DIY projects with your family. It's especially good now that so many of us are under quarantine or self distancing this year. So why not add a bit of uniqueness to it by adding in Kpop!

You can make fun Kpop Christmas ornaments and decorations with just photo cards (that come with the physical albums) and Xmas decor from any store. I made 9 ornaments for $25. That's just $2.77 for each ornament! A dollar store will be the best place to grab everything on your list. ;)

Items you'll need
  • Kpop photocards or printed pictures
  • Cut out pop up stand of idol (or print one)
  • clear plastic ornaments
  • various colored garland
  • bows
  • a stocking

Here's 5 of my top gifts for fashion beauty lovers from - a fashion beauty lover!
Trust me, we'll love these. :)

1. Vintage Wall Art

I've been eyeing this wall art for a while. I'm a huge fan of Versailles/1600 century French decor. My dream home would be one decked out in wall to ceiling floral wallpaper with colorful gaudy furniture and photos just like above. Lol, I'm sure who ever you buy this for won't want their decor quite as extreme but if they love historical fashion then this wall art is perfect for them. It also adds a special flair with the feminist quote to show ultimate girl power so definitely check all the awesome quote wall art this Etsy shop offers.

The 2020 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) kicked off yesterday Dec 6th. Though there was no audience many artist still came with their best gear. Let's look at some of the best and not so good.

Also this is my first MAMA's fashion review since the 2015 MAMA's! Wow, it's been a minute but if you'd like to check out those previous reviews click here.

I'll also include some of my favorite stage performance looks as well.

Now let's get into it!

With Christmas just a few weeks away, you (like I) might be sitting there pondering about Christmas shopping that you've yet to do. I for the most part will be hand making presents but there are still a few items I need search the internet for. I also want to personalize some gifts for a few friends that are Korean/Japanese entertainment connoisseurs. So if you're in the same boat as me, here's a list of 10 awesome gifts for Kpop, Kdrama and Anime lovers.

1. Order a custom Kpop Spotify Song Keychain for the one who loves to have their favorite kpop idol on loop.

I will probably order a Rain - Love Song and Taemin - Until Today one for myself. :D
As most of the country enters into another lock down many of us are homebound for an extended period of time. Being at home can become redundant with our My List Netflix movie choices slowly dwindling. Personally I stay busy sewing and blogging but even that can become repetitive. So sometimes it's great to set the phone on silent, grab a hot cocoa and cuddle up with a great book. Here are 3 books I'm either currently reading or have sitting in my Amazon cart.

1. Sucker Punch: An Anita Blake Vampire Hunter Novel by Laurell K. Hamilton

I'm a massive fan of the Anita Blake series. I was introduced through my cousin with her copy of Skin Trade which is the 16th book in 26 book series. I was immediately hooked!  From there I started from book 1 and am now on book 20 but jumped to 26 so I could read the newest release. I'm an OG Buffy the Vampire Slayer fan so reading about a vampire slayer that dates the head vampire of the city, excels at her bad-ass job (making those quiver in her presence) and has an array of lovers on deck was right up my ally.

Every year around this time we're usually gathered with various loved ones, fitted in our most stylish holiday. From a sparkle skirt and ruffled top to our funniest Ugly Christmas Sweater, we're ready for the show. Now on a normal year that would be true but this year is like none other. This year is probably just a friend or family member or two, 6 feet apart and a mask. We'll this year why not add a bit of fun to an otherwise unorthodox year: Ugly Christmas Sweater Face Masks! So here's a fun project you can do with your significant other, children or at your small family gathering.

Taemin has graced us with his unstoppable presence once again with the release of Never Gonna Dance Again Act 2

Never Gonna Dance Again: Act 1 gave us the alluring single Criminal along with an emiculate album (now one of my top 3 favs.) If NGDA Act 1 guided us on a journey through the deepest depths, Act 2 ushers us up the highway to Heaven with IDEA and the b side single Heaven.

If you're a Taemin follower you were probably (like many of us) impatiently waiting for a full release of the single Heaven which he performed at a Japanese concert. I was quite perturb it wasn't on Act 1 because I assumed it would take a while for Act 2 to be released but lo' and behold Taemin always provides. He actually ended up releasing the album and single on my birthday November 9th! Literally the best present EVER.

CL has recently returned to the stage with her new double singles Hwa and 5 Star. Both showcase her amazing vocals and never ending stage presence. As an OG 2NE1 fan, I'm so glad to see all four of the ladies doing what they love. And of course they're going to do it with style. So let's check out some amazing looks from CL's digital cover of Vogue Singapore.

I hope everyone has been holding up well this week. There's a lot going on in the world right now so sometimes it's good to take your mind off things by doing some good ol' online "window shopping."

So here are 4 items I'm admiring on Etsy this November!

1) Kawaii Cardigan

As soon as I saw this sheep sweater I fell in love. The sheep motifs make it look extra cozy and makes me want it NOW.  As I type this I wish it were on my body. Perfect for quarantining around the house or a day of binging Netflix.

That word has been a stress to us all at least once in our lives.
But just when you thought that was enough, 2020 body slammed us down with a new worry: MASKNE.

Maskne is described as a skin condition brought on by prolonged wear of facial PPE (personal protective equipment.) Daily PPE wear seems to be here to stay so maskne isn't going away anytime soon. But the great news is we can fight this new foe with various measures.

So today I'll share 3 simple ways to prevent and care for maskne!
